KFC runs in about 150 countries, and the guest survey on the receipt is not the same everywhere. Talktokfc is the name used on New Zealand receipts, while shoppers in other countries see a different address.
That is why this guide starts with one question: where is your receipt from? Once that is settled, the rest is simple, and we walk through the steps, the comment box, the free chicken question and a little KFC history.
A quick note. We are an independent guide, not KFC, and we never see the answers you give in the survey.

First, Check Which Country Your Receipt Is From
Look at the bottom of your receipt. The survey address printed there tells you which program you are in.
| Where you ate | Survey name you will usually see |
|---|---|
| New Zealand | Talktokfc (talktokfc.co.nz) |
| United States | MyKFCExperience |
| Anywhere else | The address printed on your own receipt |
Whatever this table says, the receipt wins. Survey programs change, and the address printed on your own receipt is the one tied to your visit.
What a Talktokfc Receipt Holds
The invitation near the bottom of the receipt carries the details the first screen asks for. Expect a store number, the date and time of your visit and a code. Keep the receipt flat, since the small print fades fast in a hot car.
The Talktokfc Steps, Start to Finish
- Open the survey address printed on your KFC receipt.
- Copy the store number, date, time and code from the receipt.
- Rate the food, the service, the speed and the restaurant.
- Add a comment if something stood out.
- Write down any code shown on the final screen.
Most people finish in 5 to 10 minutes. Our KFC survey steps page shows every screen.
What the Survey Asks About Your Meal
The questions follow the meal itself. Was the chicken hot and crisp? Were the fries fresh? Was your order complete, including sauces and drinks? Was the dining room or drive-thru quick, and was the counter clean?
Answer about this one visit. A great meal last month does not change a cold one today.
Drive-Thru, Dine-In or Delivery: Rate What You Actually Used
A drive-thru visit, a sit-down meal and a delivery order go wrong in different ways, so the useful details differ too.
| How you ordered | Details worth mentioning |
|---|---|
| Drive-thru | Wait at the speaker and the window, and whether the bag was complete |
| Dine-in | Table cleanliness, the drinks station and how long food took at the counter |
| Delivery app | Usually handled by the app, not the receipt survey, so report it there |
If the survey asks how you ordered, pick the right option first. It routes your answers to the part of the restaurant that can act on them.

Writing a Comment About Chicken That Helps
Fried chicken is all about timing, so mention the time. “Drumsticks were lukewarm at 2:30 pm on a Wednesday” tells a manager the chicken sat too long in a quiet hour. “Food was bad” tells them nothing.
The same goes for drive-thru orders. If a side was missing, name it and say whether you checked the bag before driving away.
The Free Chicken Question
The old version of this page promised free chicken. Rewards for KFC surveys differ by country and change over time, and we could not confirm a current free chicken offer for Talktokfc, so we removed that promise.
If a reward is part of your survey, the receipt or the final screen will say so, often with a code to show at the counter and a date it runs out. Anything we confirm is listed on our KFC survey rewards page.
If Your Receipt Code Will Not Work
Wrong digit: compare each number with the receipt, especially 0 and O.
Too old: invitations usually expire within days, so use your next receipt.
Wrong country site: a New Zealand receipt will not open the U.S. survey, and the reverse is also true.
Still stuck: contact KFC customer care in your country rather than trying the same code again and again.
If You Ate at KFC in the United States
Your receipt most likely points to MyKFCExperience instead of Talktokfc. The idea is the same, a short survey about one visit, but the address, the questions and any reward are set by KFC in the U.S. Follow what your own receipt says.

KFC From One Kentucky Cafe to 150 Countries
It began with Harland Sanders, later known as Colonel Sanders, who opened Sanders Court and Cafe in North Corbin, Kentucky, on March 20, 1930. The first Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise opened in South Salt Lake, Utah, in 1952, run by Pete Harman.
| KFC fact | Figure |
|---|---|
| Restaurants worldwide | 31,981 (2025) |
| Countries | 150 |
| Headquarters | Louisville, Kentucky |
| Parent company | Yum! Brands |
By sales, KFC is the second-largest restaurant chain in the world.
The 11 Herbs and Spices
KFC’s Original Recipe chicken is pressure-fried and seasoned with what Sanders called his recipe of 11 herbs and spices. The exact mix has never been published, which is part of the brand’s legend. If the seasoning tasted off on your visit, that is worth a line in the survey.
Where KFC Is Run From
KFC’s head office is at 1441 Gardiner Lane in Louisville, Kentucky. For menus and restaurant hours in New Zealand, use the KFC New Zealand website.

Talktokfc Questions, Answered
What Is Talktokfc?
Talktokfc is the name of the KFC guest survey printed on receipts in New Zealand. You rate one visit, covering the food, speed, order accuracy and the restaurant, and can add a comment for the store team.
Is Talktokfc the Same as MyKFCExperience?
No. They are separate survey programs for different countries. Talktokfc is used on New Zealand receipts, while U.S. receipts usually point to MyKFCExperience. Always use the address printed on your own receipt.
Do I Get Free Chicken for the KFC Survey?
We could not confirm a current free chicken reward for Talktokfc. Rewards differ by country and change over time, so check your receipt and the final survey screen for any offer, code and expiry date.
Why Is My KFC Survey Code Not Working?
Usually a digit was typed wrong, the invitation has expired, or the receipt is from a different country than the survey site. Check each number, then try the invitation on your next receipt if it still fails.
Who Owns KFC?
KFC is a subsidiary of Yum! Brands and is based in Louisville, Kentucky. It grew from Harland Sanders’ cafe in North Corbin, Kentucky, opened in 1930, to almost 32,000 restaurants in 150 countries.
Check the Country, Then Take the Survey
